We are the Sisterhood
We have really enjoyed telling you Mom’s story. In doing so, we have remembered many happy times and just how much fun she was. Our main intent in writing the blog was to honor her with adventures and lots of fun activities. We feel it’s time to do just that, but first, we would like to introduce ourselves.
If you have read the About Us section on our blog menu, you will already have a very basic idea as to who we are, and why we do what we do. But we are so much more than that!
With that in mind, we decided that it would be easiest to introduce ourselves in a video format, so that you can get a feel for who we really are. It seemed only fair to do so in chronological order, so without further ado, here we go!
Big sister (Shauna) is left-handed and vertically challenged. She can repeat the alphabet backwards in 15 seconds and was the fastest runner in grade 5!
Middle sister (Kerri) is a brunette among redheads who could run a moving company because she has moved 13 times. Its not an official family gathering until she cries.
Little sister (Mag) is the baby of the family. She got her own TV when she was fourteen AND she is the only one of our siblings who went to Disneyland. As a result, Big Sister and Middle Sister like to give her a hard time.
We sincerely hope that no one has been brought to tears after reading these heartwarming stories. That certainly was not our intention. We prefer to think of our stories as inspiring and perhaps somewhat instructive.
Now that you know a bit more about each of us, we look forward to entertaining you with anecdotes and stories about our adventures, athletic and otherwise. Our main goal is to honor Mom and the best way to do that is to just have fun because, We are the Sisterhood and……
Betty Would Love That!
Stay tuned đ
We plan to publish a new post every Monday, so stayed tuned for our next one entitled “In the Beginning We Created a Memorial”

Wow Big sister! Number one! I know just how you feel! I often told my sisters I gobbled up all the high quality nutrients while still in the womb and that they were left in with the second rate nutrients. Haha ( I know thatâs not how babies in the womb get their nutrition but I like this explanation just the same). I sorry for lack of middle name, Shauna is such a great name that it more than makes up for it.
Oh my!! After watching the middle sisterâs video i have to say I cannot believe how much you remind me of Grandma!!! Itâs incredible! Was Grandma a brunette? The facial expressions, the little quirks, itâs very endearing! Iâm told very often that I am slowly becoming my mother by many people and I am proud of it and I am sure you feel the same way.
Lilâs, I am sure you were the favourite child as I remember Anne-Marie being the favourite as well. I can totally imagine my Dad doing that to you and I would like to apologize on his behalf, haha!! One of my earliest memories at Grandma and Granpaâs house was annoyingly listening in on your phone calls to Keith with Catherine and teasing you and calling him your boyyyyfriiiend!!!! I apologize for that as well…( sort of) xxxxxx

Hi Liz.Thanks for your comments…they made us smile đ I love your nutrients theory…makes sense to me, but then, we are both number 1s and we have a lot in common. One of the things we we hoped would happen when we decided to start the blog, was to connect with our “bigger family”and we are so enjoying connecting with you! Say hi to your Dad and mention the name Larry…. he knows what that’s about. Cheers!

Hi Liz! So sorry for a slow reply, but I wanted to tell you that I take it as a real compliment that you think I am so much like Grandma! A favorite saying of mine is “to honor those who have passed away adopt their best qualities”. Grandma definitely was a brunette in her younger years. Check out our latest post “Hands of Love” and you will see a picture of Grandma in her 20s. Thanks so much for following our blog – we are having a lot of fun doing it!
