When an elderly person passes away, there are usually memories and memorabilia left behind. Mom was no exception. Her passion was taking pictures....many of which featured bodies with no heads, blurry images and some selfie attempts that were of poor quality to say the least.

Our mom always had friends, lots of friends. It seemed like everyone who crossed paths with her became her friend in short order and many friendships endured for a lifetime. It was always a bit of a mystery to us how mom managed to strike up and maintain so many friendships.

Won’t You Let Me Take You on a Sea Cruise….
After Dad passed away and his estate was settled, we decided that Mom needed a holiday, and a cruise fit the bill. Mag had to work so Kerri and Shauna took Betty on a trip along the East Coast, starting in New York and ending in Montreal. Hopefully our timing would coincide with the brilliant fall foliage, some nice weather, and an opportunity to celebrate Mom's birthday in mid October...

She loved to dawdle along to her local coffee shop, rain or shine, (stopping to pet dogs, speak with strangers and marvel at babies) and over time we referred to her destination as Bettybucks....aka Starbucks...
